      @HandyDan In regards to using air Crete for a floor, what reinforcing would you use and how thick would you make it. My current application would be a base for patio pavers but I’m also interested in using it for the floor elsewhere. Thanks!

      @KCC703 my so and I made an aircrete pizza oven. It works - keep feeding the wood and keep making pizzas - but not well. Aircrete is a great heat insulator so it keeps the heat in the oven. The aircrete doesn’t hold the heat which means the oven starts cooling as soon as you stop burning wood. So you can’t fire up the pizza oven, cook a round of pizzas, then pop in a loaf of bread and a roast, followed by pud, cakes and biscuits - ie heat the oven and then use the heat for different foods as it cools. We intend to knock down and do it again with the oven lined with refractory bricks and aircrete covering that

      I'm heading down to my place in Pescadero in a week or three and looking for / considering support / training options my self, and to start my own project in due course. I have a little earthbag experience, but no aircrete as yet, but looking to change that, so let me know if I can be of help / collaboration

      cement is not water proof. You will have to either paint or cover the structure with a water proofing membrane...good luck!

      @Jon-Bagpipes It takes two 45 gallon drums for a 4' x 8' form, 4" thick blocks.

      Correction, Tomorrow I'm going to try a mix of 180 to 1 and if time allows one at 140 to 1 with air set @90 PSI.
